I've heard good things about this kennel. Give us a report when you decide on one.

Hi Paul,
Good luck... I only know of the Holiday Pet Hotel, in Encinitas along I-5.

Perhaps another option is to leave your dog at home in familiar surroundings and hire a pet sitter to come in and spend the night,
feeding in the PM + AM.
That's what we do occasionally when we can't take all 3 doggies with us on a trip. Two of them are former Baja callejeros—one from Cataviña and one
from La Purisima.
We pay $25/night to a trusted neighborhood high school student.

I believe the original poster didn't ask for your moral judgement, he asked for information about kennels.
How do you know what is right for him and his dog??????......
Maybe you should take a break from posting and look at life and the world through other peoples glasses because it seems, by your posts here on BN
that you are looking at things through your beer goggles.
Maybe your dog would like a vacation from you......ever think about that????

Another Option is PetSmart Hotel
While I am, first off, inclined to agree with captkw that bringing in someone to take care of your pets in their normal environment is the best of all
possible worlds, in the opposite, you are giving caregivers full access your home and property while you are gone.
PetsMart has PetsHotel facilities in La Jolla and in East County San Diego. You can view your dog(s) on a video camera when you have access to the
internet.
I don't have any personal experience with the hotels, but I have not heard any criticism, either.

Those are amazingly good prices, too. I was quite surprised.

Kennel your dog at the border? Seriously? Well, uh, ok. Different strokes for different folks I guess. Wow.

Look for "Jose's Taco Factory"
The kennel is just behind the taco factory!
