I think the Questa Real is (or was) dog friendly. You might check with them. It's a nice place to stay.
The SAME boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg. It's about what you are made of NOT the circumstance.

We have stayed at the Hotel Serenidad dozens of times over the years and always with our well behaved dog. We respect others and DO NOT leave the dog
in the room to bark, keep our fur child on a leash when outside, do not bring the dog inside the restaurant/bar, and, without saying, clean up any
mess that was deposited.
As a pilot we supported Don Johnson and what he has given to the Baja flying community. As a driver, we will continue to stay there.

Cuesta Real, tambien. Pepe and Sandra are great and Airstream Willy will help you around. A bit spartan but one of Baja's Best for $35. Love the
town and people as do most! Disfruta. Tio

Here is Cuesta website
Http://hotelcuestareal.com. Walking your dog along the river road at sunrise is a special treat.
And in town the Hacienda Hotel is running a special at 200 pesos/night.
Most places in Mulege are dog friendly and have safe parking.

Just got even better...
A fire in our room....in the fireplace of course....fire wood provided.
This place is in better shape than it was the last time we stayed here....probably 5 or 6 years go. Nice fluffy towels(we just left the Desert Inn in
Loreto where to towels are so old all that is left is the polyester) and wash cloths.
Headed over to the restaurant for some dinner. Sure is nice not to have to leave.

Sounds great. My wife commented after reading this thread that the Hotel Serenidad and Don Johnson hasn't changed all that much since we first
visited it in the early 80's AND we find that very comforting!!!!

It gets even better
We had a wonderful dinner in front of the fire
Delicious seafood soup to start.
I had shrimp, Jim had fish; both were excellent.
When we got back to our room, Santa Rosalia, the fire was ready to stoke and enjoy.
