Beer Kegs
I'm thinking about bringing down a kegerator (?) from the States. I always have a bunch of people over and the Red Solo Cup may be good way to go.
I've heard that Mexican beer kegs (corona, pacifico, xx) use a different tap the the standard US Sankey "D" that is used on Bud, Miller, Coors, etc.
Anyone have experience using a standard US jockeybox with a keg of beer purchased in Mexico??

Sorry I don't.
I know all about British Columbia beers and micro-breweries but not this you are asking about.
For those tasty BC Beers, go to Chapter/Indigo and have 24% discount on the list price.

The Modelo group uses the Sankey D, same as major brands in the US. In La Paz, Tecate group also uses that tap, but around Puerto Penasco Tecate used
the long neck sankey. 30L Modelo dark or light is 473p. They do not fill Carbon dioxide tanks in La Paz so good to bring a large tank or have a
backup.

For home fermentation, I use 5 gallon stainless soda kegs, cost around $35 locally. They can be filled with beer or wine and the beer can be
carbonated with CO2 at 20lbs or the wine can be tapped and poured without carbonation at 5lbs or less.
Beer and wine on tap.....

Heard that too. Bud wants to buy Corona. It's like buying a sewage treatment plant.
Amazing what Madison Avenue can do with an inferior product.

If the plan goes through, there is a good possibility the price of beer may go up everywhere---- even the kegs.

Calling Bud and Corona beer is like calling Taco Bell Mexican food.

Might try a U2U to Travis from the Shack. He offers Modelo on tap so he should be able to answer your question
