Santa Rosalilita - any lodging available?
Hi all! Four of us, all on dirt bikes, plan on spending a night in Santa Rosalilita in mid March. I'm talking about the Pacific town with a paved
road to it due west of BOLA.
We've been fortunate thus far when we roll into new to us towns without planned accommodations. Pacific side, however, can be windy and cold and I
don't really want end up sleeping on the beach in my riding gear. Do any of you know of any lodging that might be available? We're not picky.
Bed/shower ideal. Tin shed would work if that's all we find.
My Spanish is decent, so I plan on inquiring when we get there, but any leads would be helpful.

!!! WINNER !!!
Spelling Baja places correctly does matter, and SANTA ROSALILLITA is one of the most mis-spelled Baja places. Even some road signs spell it wrong
(Santa Rosaliita, etc.).
Welcome to Baja Nomad and thanks for illustrating the value of spelling a Baja town correctly....

Another place I haven't seen mentioned here is Mauricio's at Rosarito, the little town at the San Borja turnoff. They have 6-8 fairly new rooms next
to the restaurant. I stayed there a year ago after riding out from San Borja late in the day. $300p, the room was clean, bed comfy and good hot
water. Good food next door.

Great information... I also never heard of a motel in Nuevo Rosarito... but it also is about 100 miles from Cataviña, but right on Mex. 1.

I'm not sure there is even a sign and the rooms are behind a block wall on the south side of the restaurant. Last time through in Oct it looked like
they had expanded it a little. When I stayed there I was the only tourist type, others were Mexican road crew and Mexican commercial travelers. It
was dark when I got out to Hwy 1 from San Borja and I was happy to have an alternative to riding after dark which I try to avoid. Clean room, food
next door, hot water=Happy Biker!

Great intel Kurt...do you think there is a contact # for Mauricio's?
I just made reservations For Hotel Maru today so the reservation system works....I used the 615-157-0263 number which is a base phone in GN and not a
cell phone...and they call them via radio to confirm the reservation...cool.

No idea about contact #, I don't think there is cell service there.

I had to enlist the help from a friend to book mine. My ninth grade Spanish 1 skills didn't quite cut it. They have one double room and three single
rooms.
