SENTRI Window Sticker and a new windshield
Ok
I have a nasty crack on my truck that needs replaced.
Has anyone successfully removed your SENTRI sticker from the windshield
My sticker is an older one that has a small chip that can be seen near the center of the sticker. It is not the type that has a bar code and about
3x5
If you have had luck doing so, please let me know if you did it with a hair dryer and razor blade or chemicals etc.

nope
Scrape it off put it in an envelope and give it to them when you get your new one. I have had better luck and same day service by just showing up and
pleading ignorance. If you go on line to apply it could take 6-8 weeks for an appointment

Im in the renewal process, so hopefully I can deal with it then
So, you tried to scrape it off, but it messed it up?
I'm thinking if I can get it off and it works I will spray photo mounting glue on it and stick back on the window

When I had the windshield replaced, I scraped the old one off........it has some internal stuff that apparently breaks the antenna/chip. The new ones
are scored and do not come off as a whole sticker, just several segments

Don't scrap it off and try to reapply to the new windshield. It won't work, and they say that is one of the most frequently "violated" aspects of the
SENTRI program. Take it down to them and get a new one; call for a walk-in appointment rather than waiting for an online appt. Good luck.

When the same thing happened to me, I just placed the old sticker on the new windshield and used clear tape while I crossed the border. However, I
did show the letter showing that my stuff was in process via on-line.

I tried the walk in procedure this past December and got blocked. Was just trying to ad a vehicle, receptionist said you had to have an appointment.
Ask for a supervisor who came and was friendly. Said everything is now controlled out of DC and he can not allow walk ins. He thought it was BS but
could do nothing for any walk ins.
I would like to know if anyone has any success in 2013 with walk in service?
Thanks
