AZ Dealer Plates, any issues getting in and out of Mexico?

My buddy is going down to San Felipe this weekend to watch the race, he is an auto dealer and only has vehicles with dealer plates. In AZ there is not a registration for the DL plate or auto until he sells it. Has anyone had any experience driving in and out of Mexico with a dealer plate?

I will ask this.....how can he get Mexican Insurance?

Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

Another great question!!

I asked my buddy, you don't have one car registered to you ??

Nope, I guess it is one of the perks of being a shady car dealer:lol:

I crossed with no plates in 2009. Brand new car. No problem. Bought Bajabound Insurance and entered VIN.

No..................:-(

I have been stuck with the farm as we are making mega improvements here this year.......plus Nic is doing his last year in HS which requires me to be around.

I have a new boat that has never see water! Next year I'll be in Baja catching the lost time.......and filling up on Fish Tacos!

I have twice taken my new, unplated Tacomas to Baja... (2005 & 2010) There is a new car sales reg. packet taped to the corner of the windshield, however. Mex. insurance was no problem... just blank where you normally have the plate numbers.

who owns the car? A notarized permission letter from the "owner" should taake care of it.
