I would say San Javier Mission is a must see.
Do you like tacos, or what type of food do you like?
La Picazon North of town is a great place to have lunch and very good Margarita's. A little pricey but quite worth it.
Happy hour is always good at Augies which is located on the Malecon.
Thursday night at La Mission hotel has all you can eat pizza (it is actually very good) for around $8 with a reasonable 2 for 1 happy hour.
Where are you staying?
U-2-u me for more information

I forgot, around 10 miles South of town on the beach is a palapa type of shack called Vista del Mar which we refer to as the clam shack.
Hopefully your hungry for lunch when you head this way and stop there for stuffed clams or ? Very good and cheap

If you do go to San Javier, be sure to walk around the grounds in back, to see the 300 year old olive tree. The place is very special and worth the
drive up the canyon.

Tacos during the day at El Rey on Juarez..Tacos late afternoon at Tacos Problano on the hwy near Mira Mar..
Breakfast at Orlando's (Just off the plaza) or the Oasis Hotel on the beach at the south end of the Malacon

The fruit cantina just north of town entrance, on Hwy. 1 (used to be across form the mission also)...
From my 2012 trip report:
Thanks to our friend Phil C, we learned that the great fruit stand that was also across from the mission in Loreto, in 2009 was now only along Highway
#1, just north of the divided part of the highway, about Km. 2.5. It is on the west side and you will see the tropical plants and signs for Coconut
drinks, etc. It is called EL CAÑAVERAL and run by ‘Charley’. We ordered two fruit salads, and they were as amazing as we had remembered them from
2009. We also have a coconut horchata which was a great refresher in the hot, humid climate. The live iguana that we photographed in 2009 is no longer
alive, but on display along with some other stuffed and live critters. Charley has several banners touting the nutritional value of the many fruits he
serves in various preparations and drinks.

As for sites: The mission (California's FIRST) of Loreto (1697) and museum next door, then as mentioned the SECOND mission in California, at San
Javier (1699) about 20 miles, mostly paved is well worth a visit... the finest example of original Jesuit construction preserved on the peninsula...

Big agreement with LaTijereta about tacos at this place, El Rey del Taco, located at Benito Juarez and Misioneros:
