Love or hate cilantro? Turns out it's genetic!
https://www.23andme.com/about/factoids/
and the accompanying blog:

Today I read a fascinating article about cilantro and folks who absolutely hate it. Turns out that is due to a gene mutation which makes cilantro
taste like soap to those with the mutation.
Interesting! 23andme is going some cool genetic research!

I think I like Cilantro, but a little goes a really long way. It's like Chorizo.....if I eat it, my memory can't get rid of the taste for about a
year.

cilantro
Cilantro tastes ok to me, but walnuts taste a
little like soap, although I still like them. Maybe something to that genetic thing.

Funny
Many years ago when I smoked, I hated it, thought it tasted like soap. Since I quit, I absolutely love it.
That cant be genetic.

The SAME boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg. It's about what you are made of NOT the circumstance.
