Sentri ?

Anybody know if it's OK for someone other that the owner, who has a Sentei pass, to bring a vehicle back through the Sentri lane. I ask because I had to leave my truck in Mulege due to medical reasons...the truck has the Sentri sticker and the person driving back has a Sentri pass it just wouldn't be me driving or even in the truck. Sentri Person Driving Another Sentri Persons Vehicle

A year ago I had a medical situation where I needed my Sentri Jeep brought to me in San Diego from San Felipe. I searched the FAQ's but found nothing.

I found a volunteer with a Sentri pass and sent her a note that included my name, Sentri number, phone number, a copy of my Conveyance Information from the Sentri Site and a note indicating what I was doing. In the note, I included the volunteers name, drivers license number and residence.

She got to the Sentri lane and they didn't say a thing, She just drove on after he said, have a nice day.

Of course, each and every Sentri agent will handle the situation differently but we didn't have a problem

Sentri Person Driving Another Sentri Persons Vehicle

Did the same thing last month without a problem. I had a friend drive my Jeep to Sacramento a week before I drove my Dodge Pickup, towing my travel trailer to Sacramento.

This was not due to a medical situation and I changed the note to indicate. Again, no problem at the border.

Hi,

As a Sentri user with a San Diego company with a maquiladora in Tijuana, I can tell you from experience that the Sentri driver and the Sentri vehicle do not need to be registered to each other.

Any Sentri-registered driver can use any Sentri-registered vehicle in the Sentri lane.
