Here are instructions for getting to the Otay crossing, however, if you don't turn off Corridor 2000 at the Otay off ramp but just stay on C-2000 you will be on the toll road to Tecate.

Ensenada to Otay crossing via Corridor 2000

Proceed north on the toll road from Ensenada. Just past the toll booths you will encounter a military checkpoint. Don’t worry, they are looking for drugs, ammunition, weapons or large amounts of money. After your visit, you shouldn’t have any of those things!!!

Continue north on the toll road approximately 36 miles, passing Puerto Nuevo. Just south of Rosarito, there will be an exit for, and marked Corridor 2000. Exit the toll road here. There is a 25 Peso toll fee.

Latest information reports a military checkpoint just past the Corridor 2000 toll booth where the on ramp merges with Corridor 2000. After the toll booth, you will be on Corridor 2000 (may be signed as BC Mex 201 or Blvd 2000) (Was not there on December 27th)

Proceed approximately 26 miles on Corridor 2000 (Blvd 2000 or BC Mex 201) Follow the signs for Garita Otay/Tijuana/San Diego/Tecate/Mexicali You will pass from a rural area to an urban area. Be aware of cross traffic and pedestrians. You will also pass a Commercial Mexicana on your right and a Home Depot on your left…….when you pass the Calimax on your right, move into the right lane.

At about the 26 mile mark, there will be a sign indicating a ramp to your right for Tijuana/San Diego. Take this ramp which will put you on Industrial Blvd………if you go straight, you will end up on the toll road to Tecate!!!!!!!

If going to Tecate from La Mision, I suggest exiting the Corredor 2000 at El Florido onto the free Tecate Hwy. 2. It is four lanes and shorter and about $8 cheaper than using the toll road to Tecate. Only a few signals until Tecate... Hop on the toll road in Tecate if your goal is Mexicali or San Felipe.
