Mariscos El Pariente

Mariscos El Pariente second location, located in Maneadero Baja California, approx 1/2 mile north of carretera La Bufadora opened this spring. It is a convenient spot for us Punta Banditos.

Original El Pariente location is in “upper”(south) Maneadero. They also have a seafood cart on weekends located in Campo LaJolla out on Punta Banda.

Victor and Jose Roberto got to shucking and mixing in a hurry for me. My only regret is not bringing my own plastic containers. Their to-go cups with foil tops sealed with rubber bands were not quite leak proof on the bumpy new road under construction out to my casa on Punta Banda. The boys did bag the cups for a second protective measure.

My first visit was this past Friday in preparation for a fiesta with a VIP guest. I ordered 16 oysters on the shell, 2 large servings of coctel campechana(mixed seafood c-cktail of shrimp, oysters, clams, octopus and whatevertheheck else they have available) and ceviche. All were fresh and jumping with flavor, texture.

Here is what the feast looked like with homemade salsas added, courtesy of my VIP. How did the adult beverages get edited out of this photo???

Hey, Doc........this seems to be one in a chain. There's another, much closer to home, in front of Paty's in La Joya. It's open mostly on weekends.

Isn't that what he mentioned in his post?

"They also have a seafood cart on weekends located in Campo LaJolla out on Punta Banda."
