baja birders wanted
My wife and I will be down for a month in jan/feb 2014 to visit and set up some things for our build. We are members of the Chicago Orthinological
society. Would like to meet some others in los barilles for an outting or several to veiw the local and migratory birds of the area. Are there any
birding clubs or persons who enjoy birding that might be able to show us around to some good spots for veiwing ?

Los Barriles winter residents: Pelicans, sea gulls, grebes, egrets, blue herons, sandpipers, cormorants, vultures, hawks, ospreys, hummingbirds,
Eurasian doves, plovers, road runners, terns, cactus wren, owls, Caracara, woodpeckers.
Depends on where you wander and set your eyes as there is a wide variety of ecosystems in the area.

Take a look at this link to one of our bird people in La Mision. She is a very talented artist as well as a wonderful photographer. The estuary is
at Playa La Mision and is formed by the Guadalupe River.

La Mision is about half way between Rosarito Beach and Ensenada, near La Fonda, about 45 minutes below the border.
