cell phone reception at the Los Cabos airport

I purchased a Telcel SIM card with the goal of being accessible throughout my most recent trip to Baja - including the Los Cabos airport - but found that while I had great reception in Cabo, Pescadero and Todos Santos (even in the boondocks of Las Tunas), I had zero reception at the airport. Is this by design? Or does another carrier have better reception there?

In the new terminal, I think the only wifi hotspot is in the main restaurant/bar. You have to ask for the password (and be sitting inside, or close by). Don't know about the old terminal.

@daneeb - do you mean WiFi? I was talking cell phone reception from one of the domestic providers (in my case Telcel).

I've never had a problem with cell reception at the airport.

@monoloco and @karenintx - Thanks for the replies! I guess I'll just have to try it again when I'm back in January.
