Published on Sep 11, 2013
SAN FELIPE, BC-With the idea of rescuing the Malecon for art, culture and healthy recreation, as well as to become a real attraction for tourism, from the day October 1 this year, will apply Bando Police and Good Government, so it does not allow the consumption of alcoholic beverages in public. This was announced by President-elect of the Economic Development Council of San Felipe, Jesus Manuel Carrillo Bojorquez, who also announced that the inauguration of the port agency business, will be held on Saturday September 14, 2013.

A culture of prohibition. I'll bet they won't even allow a snazzy little bong on wheels.

There goes the Shrimp Festival! I better post this on the Punta Banda Bulletin Board which will cause a lot of people to cancel their plans.

Yrs. ago they put up signs at the SF Malecon, no
alcohol, don't know if they are still there, 1 problem
was the many borrachos relieving them sand side
of the sea wall. To me, a warm Sat. nite with the
vendors, noise, dune buggys cruising, is my favorite
time there. They have been trying to make/remake
SF into something it is not for yrs. I've seen Gringos
hop out of vehicles with open beer in hand and
walk into the Miramar, it's long been thought that
public drinking/driving in Baja, especially the small
towns was tolerated, times do change, I'm sure for
events the no alcohol ban would be waved

Just had some delicioso tacos and frias at the Taco Factory two Sundays ago on the Malecon. Lots of folks out riding their bikes while we did a few 12 oz curls and abdominal extensions.
I love to exercise there. :tumble:
