Can anyone tell me what lobster season is in San Carlos? Thanks...

Thank you...so the guy who came through the neighborhood today claiming to have fresh lobster for sale either had illegal catch or old frozen defrosted

Sorry, I told you wrong. It is Nov 15 to May 15.

However, the local guys on the Sea of Cortez get lobster over there.

So there is a possibility that they were fresh, but not Pacific Lobster.

This fishery around Mag Bay is pretty well policed.

The Sea of Cortez lobsters are different than the Pacific ones.

Usually they get those lobster over there during full moon.

They are usually about 200 pesos a kilo and it is not really a legal fishery. (I don't think).

Bahia tortugas lobster season began Sept.15th and here in Asuncion, it starts Oct.1st. Some folks sell frozen lobster from last season just before this year's season starts..pretty yucky...you can pretty much tell by looking at it
