Coming north around Thanksgiving

I plan to be in San Quintin Thanksgiving week. There is a chance that I will have to be home Thanksgiving day, so I would like to return a day or so earlier. Are waiting time much longer returning...let's say on Wednesday before Thanksgiving? What can I expect at any of the three crossings coming north into So. Cal.?

Thanks in advance,

Mirko

I'd recommend Tecate crossing on Tuesday. Any of the crossings will be busy especially on Wednesday by those trying to 'beat the rush' for the Holiday. Matta-fact, i'd even think about Monday, and early to mid-day the lines aren't too bad there. I've driven from San Quintin to the border (with an EARLY start) and been in line less than 20 minutes on weekdays (not Fridays btw). Otherwise, have patience and a water bottle in the rig.

I don't have a BUCKET LIST, but I do have a F***- IT LIST a mile long!

So Wednesday is a bad idea? Is there a site where one can see historical times for the last couple of years or so?

For the last 3 years I have crossed at Tecate on around 9:00 A.M. Thanksgiving Day morning. I think the longest wait was 15 minutes.
