There's two at the mouth of San Lucas Cove just south of Sta. Rosalia as we speak. They're juveniles, only as long as my truck, mas o meno a meter.
They hang around till end of October in the Mulege area.
I just got here, haven't heard any reports from Bahia Concepcion, but i bet there are some stragglers there too. I hear ours are friendly/curious, i
can't wait to get my inflatable in the water either tomorrow or next day to go dance with 'em. What a rush... largest fish in the sea. N' they're
just kids, too. What a rush.
I don't have a BUCKET LIST, but I do have a F***- IT LIST a mile long!

Just got back today from Bahia gonzaga for a week of kayak fishing. I had 4 encounters with whale sharks in the bay. My first encounter was when I
was reeling in a lure and an 18 ft WS swam under my line and I snagged him just behind the gill plate. He very patiently hung around my kayak while I
tried to unhook him. I was unsuccessful and ended up cutting the line. The next morning I was fishing in the same area and the same WS complete with
lure snuck up behind me and bumped my kayak. Nearly tipped me over. Like he was saying remember me....... Thanks for the Bling. It looked like he was
going to make a circle and make another run at me so I vacated the area. I had two more sighting of another one and ended up getting in the water with
that one. Their skin is rougher than the roughest emery cloth. I hung on to his tail and he made wide circles around my kayak until I let go.
Amazingly dosile animals/fish.
