Not that it matters much ..

but from David K's earlier post:
"Mama (Anita Grosso de) Espinoza in her own autobiography 'Reflections' c1994 gives the birth years for all 10 Grosso siblings. Anita was the youngest, born in 1908."

Re-post from last week:

According to her, she is 105 now (in October, 2013). What a life... and Baja is so much part of it!

Other books put her age at 103 this year... including the one she told me was 'correct' in 2009...

I think her list of all 10 siblings birth years in the first book is most convincing, written nearly 20 years ago.

Hope she is happy as long as she is on this world!

Well the book has it wrong! Period end of report. She was born October 16 1906 and was registered in 1910.

Is it not a woman's prerogative to lie about her age? 105 or 107, what does it matter? Everyone should be jealous of someone who lives such a long and rich life.

So when was her younger sister Adelaida born, if not 1906?

I am only wanting to keep historical details correct. If you say Mama's own autobiography is wrong with 1908, but her newer biography (she told me is "correct") and Greg Niemann's book 'Baja Legends' puts the year as 1910... it is really odd.

20 years ago when her autobiography was written, she sure had a good memory of all 10 sibling's birth years. Where they all off by two years?

Anyway, I hope you had a nice visit with here no matter how old she is, she is a remarkable person, indeed!

David, you will need to produce her long form birth certificate to prove your case. Why did you release only the short form? Where is the long form? Something fishy here,... Hmmmmmm,...

Who cares? She has survived a very long and important life and is a living legend.

Shoot, we celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the birth of the US on July 4th and that date is not accurate.

Happy Birthday and hope she has as many more as she desires.

Indeed. A lady deserves a little mystery wrapped around her age!
