rice and beans almost barbecued!


im hearing a large fire broke out in the palm grove behind rice and beans in san ignacio, many families evacuated. any buzz about this?

we heard first hand from some friends who were staying at san ignacio inn that it was quite a battle to put it out ... lasted into the night ..... as far as we know, no houses were damaged but a scare was had by all.

I was there while the fire was going. It was just off the north wing of the building. There was about 15 palm trees on fire. It last about an hour and then went out. Fire department did not come out. It was a little scary for a while because it was raining fire!

Was at Rice and Beans 2/3 weeks ago. No problem, no mention of a fire - all is well.
