Private Rental Vehicle / Loaner?? Oct 29 - Nov 14

Hi everyone,

Would any Nomad be interested in renting me their vehicle for a few weeks? Yes, I'll pay a fair rate. Obviously I'd prefer a high-clearance vehicle. Nothing fancy. Simple. Maybe 4x4.

Oct 29 (Rosarito) - Nov 14 (border area)

I'm actually a very good risk. No accidents or tickets in over a decade. I can get from San Diego airport to Rosarito on my own. I will purchase full insurance coverage for myself and vehicle.

This will be my first time in a car that I didn't own. Ugh!

Trip map & dates here ... http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=69800

I have met Bryan and chatted a few times on the phone with him as well... He loves Baja and sharing his adventures here on Nomad. If I had another car, I would be comfortable letting him use it.

Thanks for the endorsement, David.

Alas, on this trip next week, I shall be relegated to pavement, due to rental car requirements. Or at least graded roads that seem passable (no sand, minimal ruts & rocks) and segments that I am familiar with. As we all know, sometimes the construction zones in Baja can be pretty tough going, too.

Pricey as it is, all you can rent in the USA and take South across the border is a "standard" vehicle --- vans, trucks, 4x4's and more are all EXCLUDED by car rental companies, as I've learned the past few days.

Great speaking with just now Kelly. :tumble: Although a rental with you won't work out on this trip, I shall "do business" with you on a subsequent trip. Dang Baja 100 race! :(
