Pat Butler is no longer the owner of EDR...he is the developer. Ownership is now by individuals. For over 5 years there has been an HOA and Butler does own individual lots. The recent opening of our $1.5 million USD pool complex was ALL paid from the individual homeowner dues, not from the developer! Years ago, Butler was going to give the HOA the land that the pool is on now, but changed his mind and now the HOA is borrowing it.

Butler has rules and regulations that are so slanted in his favor, it is hard for the HOA to be truly democratic. Those of us who have heard all the promises Butler has made over the years, is now like the lies of Obamacare...keep your doctor?...keep your plan?

This next week will be another HOA and Developer meeting and the same ole lies (and even some new ones) will be told.

How do I know the above?

I have been an owner there for over 10 years and was a supervisor for 2 years.

When I see Butler in the news telling stories, I just shake my head and wonder.:?:

Yea, I wasn't getting a great vibe from that guy, seemed like the wolf was showing through the seams of the sheep clothing.

Very interesting your impression of good ole Pat, I saw him in a entirely different light I would have sworn it The Devil Himself Dick Cheney.
I find it amusing that you think you actually own a piece of the Ranch.

A lot of homes are 'owned' on the ranch... the land they are on is a different thing.... yes?

The reason we did not buy at El Dorado was due to the total flakiness.

They were building the Condos at the time, but in order to buy one you had to be in a drawing. In order to get in the drawing you had to buy a piece of dirt on the west side of the ranch for $40K

NOT

Also, their Fidicomiso is a Master Fidi, which makes no sense to me.

While he might own the land, I am not seeing where he said that... 'property' is not only land. Oh, and I do know steekers and have even worked for him.
