What is the UID?

Thanks for all you do Doug! What a funny and fun forum you are managing. When I first registered it was with my original postername "Msal" and then I could'nt get back in after I was gone for a while. Can we count my posts under that name and include them in my username? I think I may achie ve some status!? Thanks again , Sally

Hi Sally.... UID is User I.D. (I believe), and is the number assigned according to when you joined Doug's forum. Doug is #1 (naturally) as the first Nomad. I am the 10th Nomad to register... actually the second 'active' member to register (as #s 2-9 are not active).

I would doubt that Doug can change the number of posts assigned to you (for a status change). JR is also slightly crippled as he was 'Ski Baja' for awhile... so when I posted the top contributing Nomads, I would add Ski Baja to 'jr baja' for the true number... Mike Supino also is 'pops' (I think)... I think it happens when people forget their access code, and instead of contacting Doug, they just re-register as a new Nomad. Doug doesn't allow dual personalities here... but, it isn't something he has a ton of time for.

David, glad you cleared that up.
I always thought that a UID was something my ex-wife wore to keep from getting stagnant...

Thanks David, that makes sense. I always thought that I registered as soon as the Amigos got a wind of this forum. Evidently it (this forum) was already up and active, but a bit young. Happy travels, Sally

David pretty much nailed it.

While I can edit the post totals, I also use a feature to fix the post totals once in awhile for accuracy -- which would likely put it back.

Always wondered, why do they call it menopause when it's the women doing the pausing. Between the misnomers and what you have to pay for underwear and other associated ladies needs, you broads never get a break! :fire::wow::barf:

I just can't believe...

...That we are coming up on 3 YEARS of activity, here on Doug's great NOMAD board!

Thanks Doug, for all your efforts providing us with such a neat pallet to 'paint' out 'pictures' of Baja and other such stuff to 'brighten' our days and nights...

Now that I've 'sucked' up...when do we get IMAX, 3D video clips with surround sound!...sorry, we just went to a wedding over San Rafael way, in Marin County, of a couple that work for George Lucas at ILM - they're animators, worked on the latest Star Wars, and after seeing their stuff, our old flat screen, PC just isn't the same any more!

Bob & Susan...

Yes, I've seen the video Richard made last Feb...he sent me a link to his web site when he got it running - he did a good job, can't wait to get back down there - probably in October after it cools down a bit!

I guess Richard & Jolynn have made it to their place in Alaska by now...from one extreme to another! And we thought the 1100 miles we travel to Mulege from Northern Calif was a 'long' drive! I wonder if their DirectWay Internet works all the way up there - the signal can't be all that good that far north?

Meme...glad you liked the 'Steekers'...still got a few more if anyone wants a couple...just let me know...
