Storm? Raymond

Raymond was so far West I never gave it a second thought. But now it's heading back towards land. I'm pretty sure it'll never make it but it may/is bring some clouds our way.

It's meandering around, but losing oomph fast. Doesn't appear to be a serious problem:

clouding up here in La Paz

broken clouds when we got up and now it's a light overcast and winds picking up out of the SW. Looks like we'll possibly get some light rain from Raymond.

Beautiful sunsets and sunrises! It's a bit warm & humid as the clouds are covering todays sunshine. The weather is awesome with cool nites and warm days; water in the low eighties. Tio

In Lopez it-s like the calm before the storm.

Went trolling in the pangita from 1 to 5 this afternoon.

Eerie out there along the mangroves.
No birds, no fish, no bites, dead calm and very overcast.

But the shrimp guys were leaving as we were coming in. ??????

By the way - so far this year a dismal shrimp season around here.
Small and few.
Up to 170 pesos a kilo for medianos - if you can even get them.

The edges of Raymond - after sprinkling off and on since about 5pm yesterday, hit full force in Lopez Mateos at 4am. . .

And has been raining hard continuously and blowing ever since.

Wonder who else is getting water from this system?

This wind forecast website has the system that is currently forming to the south of Raymond, becoming well organized by later this weekend and wording its way north towards the Cape region.

It certainly has been an active year in the Eastern Pacific.

http://www.intellicast.com/Storm/Hurricane/PacificSatellite....

That is a longggggg feed, coming all the way from Tahiti, feeding moisture into the southern Baja area. Not sure what that means, but I think it is kinda unusual.

Man, we had raining cats and dogs this morning from about 4a.m. to 9a.m.

Must have picked up another 2 1/2 to 3 inches here in Lopez.

Beautiful and sunny now, but whoa what a rain before the clearing.

It's been raining lightly here (La Aguja) for about 1/2 hour (it's 4:20 now). Had another 1/2 hour of rain in the late morning around 10:30/11:00. Right now it's cloudy, cloudy, cloudy as far as the eye can see - no sun breaking through.
