Tourist Card in Ensenada? FMM? FMT?

Not sure what the correct designation is.
I skipped getting one in Tijuana.
Meeting with other BN's for lunch in Ensenada at 1:00 and will ask them, but where in the Ensenada area can I purchase a 30-day FM tourist card.

Thanks, guys. I'll ask you this again in-person tomorrow.
Do I even need the dang thing??
Gotta go curio & blanket shopping right now.
Before Km-38 meeting & dinner at Splash.

There is no requirement for an FMM if you are staying no further south than Maneadero, or less than seven days.

But then...I have never heard of anyone ever being checked for one ANYWHERE in Baja. (the exception is the airport, of course).

This be the word.
However, should you have a need to deal with IMN-Ensenada for an FMN, tell them you arrived by private boat and you want the document to proceed south.

Geeze Bryan... you read all the posts from the past years, but never any on the FMM nightmare in Ensenada!?? LOL

Seriously, the last reports said the dick is no longer there and the new people are nice. You are SUPPOSED to get the FMM at the border... but let's see if they are nice to you, too... It is at the HARBOR, at the sharp RIGHT turn, entering town, near that Pemex... but on the harbor side... LOOK for INM and it hasn't been an FM-T for a couple years now.

They can an may indeed check for it at Guerrero Negro (state border on Hwy. 1)... but nowhere else in Baja.

Have been asked for the FMM at Guerrero Negro, the computer guys outside San Ignacio, a couple of times in the back country when meeting a military patrol, getting importation permit for boat, buying property in Todos Santos (yes, on a tourist permit), after a auto accident, and when flying. Easy to get (we do prepaid thru Vagabundos) and glad to have it when asked.

I just got one in Ensenada a couple weeks ago. "THAT GUY" is still there (I think). Not a happy or friendly dude.... However, this time he at least processed our FMM's without b-tching and moaning that we should have done it in TJ. Everyone else (bank girls) were super friendly.
