Frontline Revolution Walmart?
Shopping for Flea meds for doggie. Fleas are not an issue here in CO so I'm a bit in the dark . I'm looking at Revolution on Petmeds.com @ 99 for 6.
I've seen some similar looking stuff (topical) at the local Walmart for a lot less. Any suggestions on good stuff for Baja and where to get it...?

Fleas,,pulgas,critters.henheneees
after years of research and trying spot,,front line,,,Advantage......I now use cedar oil or what i'm using this pass is "Tea Tree oil" cheap and
works and your not putting poison your dog.. (Bad)... Any and all comments welcomed !!

We've used both frontline and advantage but the fleas that survive produce offspring not bothered by either product. Right now we give the beasties
Comfortus which is working. I found with the kitties if I alternated the Advantage and Frontline they were effective. Tea Tree oil sounds good, a
friend used big eucalyptus nuts to make a flea balm for his dogs that worked. There sure were a lot of ticks in the bush around Loreto after all the
rain.

not much from DDT,,, its not god for a dog,,many side affects includeing death...my sister has a dog clinic in upstate NY and is trying to write a
book about it..But,, she is So busy with healing ang helping dogs with nautral stuff..she hasn't had the time to finish the book...I spent 11K and two
years at UC Davis with a dog (Baja) and can say with conviction vets are like docs...they all go with the machine aka AMA or in Vets case the
DVM...all fed the same meds by the big corps.....anyone else here have a good,,healthy flea program ??

Use Revolution on our cats and it works 100%... Get from online source (need to ask Baja Angel). I know it was a lot more when we got it from the vet.
As for Tea Tree Oil... there may be a pet shampoo containing it from Melaleuca.com (but ordered from an independent agent).

How do you apply it - rub a bit on their skin like the other stuff?

cedar or tea tree oil ap
I buy it from a natural herb store and add water in a spray bottle...seems to work well on my Baja dog...the Most Famous dog of Monterey bay ca...

100% Tea tree oil is very potent (as well as expensive)... it also may irritate skin at full strength... so blend it in with other things. I am sure
there are online recipes?

Tea tree oil
Here in Santa Cruz ca. Its 5 bucks a bottle (small) and goes a long way and seems to work....That said,, I will follow up with a update in a few
weeks..but,, as for today it's working,,,,YEE HAA !!!

We use Revolucion. It also has heart worm medicine. You should have your dog checked to make sure that they dont have heart worms before using.

We get ours from our vet.

I ordered three tubes of Revolution for my cat from CanadaVet without a prescription, which 1-800-PetMeds required. CanadaVet also has a discount
coupon every month, which I think is 10% off.
When I lived in San Diego, I had horrible flea infestations. I used Capstar, of which the generic version is available from eBay, and works just like
the name brand, Revolution, and Raid flea spray in the purple can. It took three months, but I was flea free.

my reading on the meads is that the poisen (TOPICAL) SLOWLY ENTERS YOUR PET AND KILLS THE LARVIE...ooops..caps on..so it dosnt work over night,,,I
have had dogs most of 53 years and remember DDT and the l;ike.. SO,three months is too long for my lady (dog) Lots of swimming and natural oils work
for us..besides a awesome coat..years ago I used the ad,fro,& spot...but after doing a lot of reading and study,,,I went La Natural...K&T

We dont have fleas over here in San Carlos. But we do take our dogs NOB for three months in the summer.
In the past, we treated them with a Frontline knockoff from Walmart. Believe it was Advantage.
Anyway, our 12 year old lab mix died a year ago, in November.............from massive liver failure. That's one of the suspected results of using
these flea treatments that impregnate the dog's system with the poison.
Was it the Advantage? Who knows? It did occur right after the three monthly treatments of the summer. We arent taking chances with our current/future
dogs.
We've gone back to the flea and tick collars for the remaining dog. It's only for three months. Just playing it safe..........or safer, hopefully.
Someone who lives in a high flea area like near the beaches of SoCal should try the tea tree or cedar oil treatment and see if/how long it works. Many
of us would be interested in seeing the results.

Thanks for the info on Cedar Oil and Tee Tree Oil. How often do you apply? I have two labs and they are constantly in the Sea of Cortez. Last year,
one of my girls ended up with the tickborne Ehrlichiosis even though she was on Frontline. I was researching Advantix II. A good/cheep online

This stuff is new to me and I'm giving it a try. Contains FIPRONIL....the same ingredient that FRONTLINE claims.
Got it from Amazon....cost 20 bucks....FRONTLINE is 60.

Hola,,so sorry for your loss..Im still reeling from my last dog (Baja) but I have read so much about the flea poison to scrare the hell out of me...I
sure in the hell will not use it anymore...And about Elichila,, I have known/found vets in BCS to blame it all the time when they really don't know
the issue is/was...be advised.......I don't trust my dogs health to one (1) person (vet) get at least two opinon's...min......IMO...
