"Tailgater" Style Satellite Receiver

First, thanks for all who post here. I reviewed comments on Route 5 condition and saved myself from destroying my travel trailer! I love you folks!

On to my question: The new tailgater style satellite system is what I want to buy: Is there a USA company that has a signal that can be received as far south as Los Barilles? The Dish company states their service is only good for the lower 48. Last winter I camped near Canadians who got their satellite signal from home, but they had the conventional setup with tripod, etc and that's too big for me to carry.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Most people, including myself, report coverage only as far as Catavina with the standard RV type dishes. After that the signal disappears quickly.

Why do I need tv in Baja? Well of course to find out how the USA has declined even further in my absence, and the Super Bowl.

If you are in Baja, you may be here for that very reason..Superbowl is best watched in a saloon, if you watch it at all.....

TEE VEE

The place we stayed in Loreto had Canadian sat tv, Canadian sat service seems the norm there. While in La Paz our hotel had sat service from San Diego. I guess they signed up in SD then used a larger dish for more gain in La Paz.

Used my regular tripod for us Dish in Catavina 2 weeks ago, after that you need a 1.3 meter or bigger and you will only get 119 or 129 sat. I use a 4 ft. fiberglass dish while traveling the baja. For what ever reason from Asuncion to Mulege all i can get is sat 129 Loreto south to Buena Vista I can get either sat. At home have 2 sat's get both 119 and 129.
