Actually, I sent him a U2U a week ago asking the very same thing. He assured me that he is doing fine up north with close friends and family.

That has an ominous sound to it. Is he alright?

Pompano has been making the annual migration between Baja and up north for what....40years? His lifestyle has been the envy of many who have enjoyed his sharing his many Baja observations, great photos, and experiences through this forum and are missed. I look forward to his return.

I Also Miss Pompano

He may have wanted to take a break from the scrutiny.

I believe he's doing well. I believe the intent was to say that all was well. I concluded that his interests in life at this time just lay north of us.

I did intend to say that pictures of copilot were really not his major contribution to this website, but that his travelogues were of the highest quality and are greatly missed. But that's just my opinion.

He's up there in your neck of the woods, isn't he, Bobby? Grab a box of beer and go find out what's going on.......tell him to shape up and report. He has responsibilities here. :light:

You are correct. How silly of me. I did enjoy his adventures and photos and look forward to many more of them.

Funny story on him. I answered an add he had on craigslist for two cycle oil. I met him to pick it up and we started talking about baja. I asked him if he had ever heard of bajanomads. He got a kick out of that. I enjoyed our brief meeting. Great guy.

I agree Skipjack. His stories, photos and sense of humor are the best. Some of the co-pilot stuff is funny too, but I could never get beyond how humiliating it must have been for those ladies.
Hmmm.... maybe that's why he went through so many of them?

yeah, paula, that might be why he went through "so many of them"...hmmmm.....anyway, the "word"on roger is that he has sold his place in coyote and now has no "ties" here, so no motivation to come back...except the memories....he has a ton of "stuff" that all us nomads can relate too...we just need to convince him to return to his real "roots"....not that stinkin" north dakota crap...or south dakota...or both!!....give us a lil' glimmer, rog...come on!!!....m.

I can't say that any of the ladies that were in Rogers posts looked the least bit "humiliated". In fact they seemed to be happy and enjoying themselves. Attractive women aren't strangers to admiring looks and learn to live with their natural assets sans humiliation. The world would be a pretty drab place without them.
