Gymnasiums
Can anyone recommend a weight lifting gym in Ensenada? That would be one with cables and cable machines like Lifefittness. The same stuff that you
would find at 24 hr fitness in the states.

Ensenada Fitness
I have heard that there is a "new" fitness center in Ensenada at the Wal-Mart/Home Depot shopping complex, however have not been there to check it
out.
Located in the same complex as the HSBC bank

In Rosarito B.C.,
The finest facility was presented by the government, likely BC.
10 pesos for all but machines per entry, yoga etc. as well
200 pesos / month unlimited machines.
A high end facility. Perhaps some similar in L.P.?

I have not been able to find any such facility in Rosarito, nothing even close. Where is it?

And many other banks. lots of the big boys represented there.
That's supposed to be a well equipped gym. I considered taking a look just yesterday, but it's upstairs and I don't do the down side of stairs well,
so I passed.
The health club is right behind McDonalds..........[Jeeeezo....I never ever thought I'd be saying something like that about Ensenada]

Drive through the north end of the Walmart/Home Depot shopping center parking. It is on the corner on the right up ahead. Rosarito.

That gym in Rosarito now quotes 550 US annual dues. I don't know when they were at 200 pesos. The equipment is rudimentary, virtually no pulleys.
Ensenada has to have something better.

The equipment at every gym in Ensenada is no different. Not one has the basic rehab equipment needed to maintain joint stability. There has been a lot
of money put into the the structures of a couple of these newer gyms and as little as possible put into the machines. It looks like they cut back on
the weight training end when they factored in the cost of the spin bikes.

Problem here, as with most other new business sectors, is the absence of competition. In time, things may change.

Gym
When coming back from the State's Wed. afternoon we took the truck route south to avoid the race congestion and where the truck route makes the sharp
right then left we went straight in that next block there was a large Gym that had a lot of equipment that was visible from the street .

The 2 best equipped gyms are in South Ensenada and fit the description of what you are looking for.
This one is in the Walmart Home Depot / Marcoplaza
http://nauticfitness.com/
I prefer this one, less crowded and has more weights. It is about 3 minutes north of Nautic and a few blocks east of Ave Revolucion. Also has
racquetball and a pool.
