TIP question

Was down fishing in May and June and had to get one of those import permits for the boat. Sold the boat after returning to the States. Was reading through the TIP paper work and saw where I was supposed to show the boat to a Banjercitos module at the border. I did not do this. Paper work says I will be unable to get another TIP if I fail to do this Am I screwed when I apply for a TIP for my new boat next year??

Thanks,

Brian

Yes. You are screwed for any kind of a vehicle Temporary Import Permit until you get things fixed. You have to prove legally, like USA court of law grade proof, that you exited Mexico with the vessel BEFORE the permit expired, then sold the vessel outside of Mexico. This all has to be mailed to ADUANA in Mexico City. No one else, anywhere will touch it.
