| Our Baja Vacation

We like to stop at Pei Wei Asian restaurant at the start of our journey. Get the spicy chicken salad. It's my favorite.

The road from Gonzaga to Chapala is still pretty bad. This trucker decided to save some time. He told me that 2 trucks were trying to pass one another
and he had the outside lane. He felt his back wheels sliding and the rest is history.

Checking to see if everything is in order. It was windy on the Cortez this year.

We found a way to stay out of the wind by hugging the side of this shale wall. It never got calm enough to launch the boat. I though of Mark_BC and
his raft 20 miles south of us.

We decided to give windy Asuncion a try. There the Pacific was as calm as a lake.

The yellowtail weren't abundant but we caught a few. This one counted his good fortune. They are rarely released.

... and marked it in my book. Popeye Catalufa. I've kept this book for over 30 years now and am always excited with a new addition.

This is my favorite spot in the Sirenita campground. The sun comes through the doorway in the morning. Just lean back and enjoy the National
Geographics.

The view from Shari's beachhouse comes a close second. When there is no wind this is another great spot to spend your mornings. That's assuming there
are no guests.

You always know you've head (I mean 'had' - sorry osprey) a good vacation when you're more relaxed coming home than you were driving down.

Until you reach the border. 4 1/2 hours at San Ysidro. Grrrrrrrrr.

Igor, nice, very nice and I hope you had a GREAT vacation. Fun to add to your fish collection record.

My two favorite photos are of the salt flats that I always find interesting, especially with that beautiful sky, and the fire photo is excellent!

I will never forget when you came to visit us in Asuncion and I was so ill I could not get out of bed to even say hi! And I am glad the wind was not
blowing this time!
