Whale watching at Pto Lopez Mateos end Jan

3 couples each from Los Barriles plan to travel to Lopez Mateos with their trucks and campers the last week in January for whale watching. We have never been there before. We are looking for advice on guides to book in advance by phone or other means, and any recommendations on camping or restaurants in Lopez Mateos. Thanks in advance for any information. Saludos!

You can camp at the whale watching dock area.
No hook ups.

Mag Bay Outfitters have an RV park thing.

There will be a lot of restaurants around the whale watching dock and Baja Mar will be open.

I will get you Jose Osuna's phone number and you can book direct with him. He is with the Union Co-op and speaks English.

There are really no beaches good for camping around Lopez.

I camped out toward the defunct laboratory years ago and it was pretty nice. Especially if you have a small skiff or kayak to fish the mangroves.
