Bus to Ensenada
We will be walking across the border from San Ysidro into Tijuana and taking the bus down to Ensenada. Does anyone know if the TJ-Ensenada bus stops
at Puerto Nuevo? Thinking of stopping there for a lobster lunch on the way if it is practical. Thanks.

Forget the "bus"
Walk across the line
Go to a taxiista, almost 100% speak excellent Ingles.
As to be taken to a PARADA (bus stop) for a TAXI de RUTA that goes to Puerto Nuevo.
Faster, cheaper, and a hell of a lot more fun. In other parts of Mexico "Taxis de Rutas" are called "collectivos". It can be a van, or a station
wagon. About 1/4 the price of a bus ticket.

There is a small bus station, ABC Bus, called La Lienia, as in
the line/border, as you walk thru the newer ped crossing
into TJ, you cross over the ped bridge, over the NB traffic
going into the US, ask anyone, it is 2 blks from the Taxi area, I don't think many/any of those Ensenada busses leave
the toll rd., there is the Old station almost to Revo Ave., those busses go along the free rd. to Rosarito, probably
take forever. As posted, the collectivo Taxis would be the
way from TJ to Rosarito, a little Spanish would be
helpful locating them, If I were going to Ensenada
specifically, like for a day trip, I might bypass Rosarito

Yeah continuing on to Ensenada is another plate of enchiladas entirely. It used to be the Taxis de Ruta went only "so-far" then turned around. That
would mean continuing on from Puerto Nuevo via bus or alternative.

Buses run from T J to Ensenada about every Hour and would be a lot cheaper than Taxi and the plus side there's a lot better food in Ensenada.

You're missing the point, though. The OP asked if the bus to Ensenada makes a stop in PN so they could break their trip to Ensenada for some lobster.
It does not, as far as I know, stop in PN or any of the other cities in the Playas de Rosarito municipality, because there are taxis de ruta. The
taxis de ruta for Rosarito gather on Madero (one block east of Revolución) between 3rd and 4th. It's an easy walk from the border. Fares depend on
whether the car is full but if it is I believe the going rate is 20-25 pesos ($2 dlls.) You'd probably have to take a private cab to PN from Rosarito.
To get to Ensenada, though, you'd have to take the taxi de ruta back to Tijuana and then get a bus to Ensenada from ABC at the La Línea bus station.
You could hire a private taxi to take you to Ensenada from PN but it would cost a lot.

I didn't miss the point. I ignored it. Puerto Nueavo is a waste of time.it's a fact there are better restaurants in Ensenada

Thanks for the info all. Sounds a bit too complicated to stop in Puerto Nuevo but appreciate being provided the alternative transport. We'll just kick
back and enjoy the ride to Ensenada and seek out some lobster there. Thanks again.

I happen to agree—PN is not worth it. If you need beachside fresh seafood, go down to the beach at Popotla.

I would get the hell off of Miguel Aleman and Lopez Mateos Avenues although the MARISCOS Bahia Ensenada may be worth a fast look on Ave RUIZ y LOPEZ
MATEOS.
Haliotis restaurant has been out of my league for decades.
On a weekend nothing as good as Huazontles, Flor de Calabeza tacos and a bi glass of pulque if they have any. El Restaurante de Huitzilopochtli.
Taxiistas will lie and say they don't know where it is to keep the place from getting too well known.
Guess maybe I've had too much langosta down at the kid's enramada. Enjoy your lobster. Brenda and Jesus howl with glee when they recall my infamous
declaration: When I start eating broiled lobster is the day I start eating boiled New York strip.
