At my northern home in Mt. Shasta I am very familiar with our famous Lenticular clouds. In this case I suggest researching OROGRAPHIC LIFTING. During
the same time period I saw clouds like this behind your house which seemed to be caused by the mountain behind town. This one could have been caused
by the island. One source calls them out as common between La Bocana and the Sierra Juarez!

Those clouds are altocumulus lenticularus clouds....or standing wave clouds. They are the delight of sailplane pilots because they produce lift to da
max. They are caused by high winds over mountains which then rises with the peaks and then descends on the downwind side and then rolls up and down
again and again just like water in the mountain stream rolling over rocks and then producing waves downstream.

If you look at those clouds you can see that they are formed as the air rises and then they are evaporated at the downwind side. A sailplane pilot
can put his nose into the wind on top of one of those "lenses" and see his altimeter unwind like a clock. Then he can turn out of the wind and
updraft and play with the altitude....aerobatics...until he needs to gain altitude again.

If you fly through one of these in a powered airplane you get your teeth kicked out!....not good. They must be avoided.
