Downtown Mulege Water Store. Cheap at twice the price. If you look a bit feeble, they carry it to your car.

In Loreto it's not 1/2 off Wednesdays but 2 for 1 for 11 pesos. Always bring in an even # of bottles and I guess I look a little feeble as they
always put them in my car.

10 pesos in Bahia Asuncion. The fellow working there spent about 10 minutes cleaning the garrafon, and wouldn't keep the change when I paid with a
20.
12 pesos in Vizcaino next to the Bancomer.

my point being that I'll probably use bottled water to fill my trailer tank and use it for showers and toilet also I'm going to do 3 weeks down south
and i use my 40 gallons in 5 days so the water bill won't be too bad this first time in 30 years. Thanks to all!!

Most of the water stores can fill your trailer holding tank with a hose .that's what we do when we travel down south.

no need for purified water for the trailer...
town water is clean and chlorinated ( a little)
i'd just use a hose...drink and cook with the purified stuff

Ya think the hose from town will work all the way down from the border? I know how to use chlorine in the tank also. Used to be a pool man so I'm
conversant with water and chlorine :-) http://forums.bajanomad.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
Just don't have a filter for sediment right now. Maybe I should get one

I pay 8 pesos in La Paz and 7 pesos on Thursday. They also drive around the neighborhgood and deliver to your door for 10 pesos a bottle but then you
get stuck with bottles like look like they have been through a war.

Average usage = 8 gal per day; pretty good. How much water do you use for one person to take one shower?
Before I got my cistern installed, I had to really watch water usage. Upon tracking my usage, I was using a surprising amount just to wash dishes
for one person. I calculated that I used from 4 o 8 gal for one shower. Overall, with semi careful usage, I was using about 20 gals of water per
person per day which reflected about 6 to 9 gals/day for toilet flushing on a 1.28 gal/flush toilet. Only used bottle (garafon) water for cooking and
drinking.
