Tijuana Border Crossing

Haven't been to Baja in years, here there is a new border crossing into Mexico.

Can I buy my FMM permit at the border crossing?

What hours are they open?

Can someone tell me the procedure and the cost?

I can buy the FMM at a Baja Club in San Diego but they will charge me $35 USD ($450 Pesos).

*The Tijuana entry is new.
*Yes, as at all borders at the INM office (first building as you make the sharp left turn towards the crossing gates).
*24 hours
*You must have a valid passport. About $25-$30, last I heard as they raised the cost.

Research El Chaparral border crossing here on Nomad. We've had numerous discussions about it.

Border crossing at Tijuana

If you go to the search function at the top of the page on the left and under user name type in degoma and then search for the past month you'll see his post titled "Parking for Tourist Card at Tijuana Crossing" with a google earth picture of the Mexican side of the border. Just as you cross into Baja you'll be paralleling the border fence, fence to your right - this is at the top of his photo. Just go where the blue arrows show. It's exactly correct. This week it was $25 per visa - took us all of 20 minutes. Everything I saw indicates it's a 24 hour operation.
