Hola and welcome!

The short answer comes from a post about 2 weeks ago:

The long answer is to suggest using the Search engine (top left corner) to find data on Nomad... just put in the subject and if you want to refine the search to a time going back, a Nomad who posted it, or a forum, add those, otherwise leave blank.

We are happy to help, none-the-less... and only ask you to report back on your trip and show us photos if you take any! We love Baja!!

Well...here's some other info that you can use perhaps....

ALPHONSINA'S RESORT

Phone 011-52 (664) 648-1951.
Fax 011-52 (664) 626-2626.
Mailing address: Post Office Box 2229, Chula Vista, California, U.S.A. 91912.
Located near the end of the sand spit, at the north end of the dirt runway, east side.
On the beach.
16 rooms / restaurant / bar / margarita - sunset deck.
Joaquin Card##as (Alphonsina's son) and his bride Susana (and their young son Joaquin Junior!) have taken over for Alphonsina at the resort, and provide excellent service for guests and travelers who stop by. Good people!
The best way to be sure a room is available when you arrive is to fax or write Joaquin or Alphonsina 30 days in advance. The fax number is 011-52 (66) 26-1645. Rooms sleep 4 people in two big beds. Discounted rates for one person in a room.

Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

Alfonsina's contact info

Hey David,
sorry to say that I tried all the phone #'s and faxes bellow, but for some reason they either are not working or on the case of 664-6262626 is the phone of a family house here in TJ.
Anyway; I found and email address which is alfonsinas@hotmail.com
I already sent an email and hopefully will get a reply.
Thanks again and glad to be in contact with you.
Arturo

Ramon's guy who does reservations is not very good. I can give you Ramon's cell and his personal e-mail at a last resort. I hesitate to give personal info. out but try to exhaust your info. first.

Something that I have experienced evertime I have been there ( with and without reservations) is that when you arrive they will pretend they dont have enough rooms or your reservation was somehow not as you made it.
But fear not, they will magically find you your rooms.
While he is looking for your rooms sit down on the patio and enjoy a cold one.

This has happened to me without fail every time.

I was tipped off by a fellw Nomad that this was the normal procedure so it came as no surprise to me.

Enjoy!

Indeed, don't get angry if Antonio says he doesn't have your reservation... just chill... he is testing you to see if you're a 'fit' for being a Gonzaga Bay guest. No hurry, no worry, just fun! (from Baja Fun 777)

Hello everyone,
Thanks for all the advice. Glad I joined the group. The main reason why I decided to go to San Luis Gonzaga, was to relax ..... so .... I will do.

Some images from Alfonsina's

In November, 2006, following the Baja 1000, Baja Angel and I traveled with Josh (son) and Roy (The Squarecircle) from L.A. Bay to Gonzaga Bay for a Garlic Shrimp dinner at Alfonsina's. Antonio and wife Marta posed with us for photos.

If you don't relax it's your own fault' Take care of the guards at the gate and buy them a Big bottle of soda when you make a run to Rancho Grande for ice. Buy a couple of soccer balls for the Military check point soldados, that is on the outskirts of town.
