during one day last week 101 grey whales were counted off palos verde, 94 heading northbound and 7 heading south. if I were a whale i'd make it
eight!

According to Shari, the whaled at Ojo De Libre have been seen leaving in large numbers. 
It is a 5 month trip back to Alaska.

I have a friend heading for Mag Bay in 2 weeks to see whales.  Hope there's still a few around.  I told her she should've gone earlier.
