BOLA

You might try Costa del Sol. Also has a restaurant/bar on site and wi-fi.

sounds like your friends might need the bar

I agree, Costa del Sol is nice. I've stayed there a few times. Always clean and the food and drinks are decent.

Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

Bring some dog biscuits. They have a Great Dane that is very friendly and like treats

That dog is giant... and the soup the owner makes, fantastic. I only hope you get one of the original rooms... The bed in the new building room we had was harder than a brick. That said, Costa del Sol is perhaps the best place... but I have only stayed at two others over the years (Las Hamacas and Casa Diaz) since we are campers. There are so many more places in Bahia de L.A. now.

Have been there for New Years and for Spring Break (Easter week) many times... Weather usually great, but wind can come up in the Spring, but doesn't last long. It rained on us one New Years, too. But, the rain was only one day and we all still had a blast... went to San Borja one day and searched for the emerald mine just a few miles west of town and south of the highway on another. Cold at night, beautiful temps in the day.

Isn't this the 'nicest' hotel/motel? I haven't been out to it in 3 or 4 years so I don't really have a clue.

I stayed there last year in August for a few days and the service was terrible, the pool was filthy and the room was full of flies. I had to constantly go ask for clean towels and the restaurant was closed. Never again. The place has a lot of potential but the knuckleheads running the place haven't a clue.

Costa del Sol is pretty good. The restaurant is good for both breakfast and dinner.

We'll be there next month. Driving down via San Felipe/Gonzaga.

Scoobie the Great Dane passed away a few months ago ... But he lived a good life at Costa del Sol scraring the begeezus out of all the other dogs in LA Bay. He was a sweetheart of a canine if you knew him....

Bummer on Scooby. He was a slobber fest and could growl with the best of em but never any harm. We kept some fish in Victoria's freezer (in her room) last year and she said to just wake her up or come get the fish and in the morning through the window I saw him lift his head off the floor & look at me and I thought...hmmmmmmm I'll wait.

Great place and great people. Will always stay there.

So sad about Scooby. He had to be getting fairly old.
