Bicycles in Baja

Anyone have any idea what is with the thousands of mountain bikes we saw between Catavina and San Quintin?

Think it's the annual Pacific to the Cortez MTB event. They end up in BOLA

Jim Jones II - instead of drinking koolaid they are peddling down HWY 1 hoping for a final meeting with a speeding Nomad to take them out. Or not.

On another note. Wednesday night we had dinner at Tapanco in Rosarito sur and when we left to head north around 9:00 PM there was a group of about 30-40 on bicycles heading up the old road. There were all well lit and looked to be having a good time.

I stand corrected. From the photos it looks like a well supported and attended good time! Different way to see the desert and the sea.

Crossing The Baja! Love it.

Viva The Baja!

Yes. A fun looking ride. I could not do it this year, will next.
It has become quite popular ride.

I notice that TJ, Ensenada corridor is seeing a lot more mexican bikers, and bike events... And surely some nomads are taking this as an omen that the end of days is nigh...

Why would the growth of the middle class be a harbinger of the end of anything?
