I gave up Skype when in Mexico about at year ago. I'm using Google hangouts now for video chat. It's a straight forward user interface.

We use skype every week and no problems but my kid recommended facetime and the reception is really good.

Sorry about your hassles, David. Hope they went away!

I use Skype on a daily basis and with Google chrome sounds like your computer has a virus.

Hola,,did you get that package ?? and the doc may be right !! if you using windows,, do a complete scan...for windows install CCleaner once you get it working...and if you really want to keep the junk out and you unit running top notch....use "Starpage" as your home page and browser...easy to do...next hit the cog wheel upper right....then internet optains...then,,,privacy...then,,,,Advanced...then click on the cookies override......First party Accept...then third party Block.....after U do this you will be amazed at how well you PC works...or for giggles on third party cookies use the promt circle to see how many websites or tagging along on what you thought was a clean website...Ha Ha..your being tracked everway you go with third party cookies...but caution if you do the 3rd party promt itst hard to clear out as so many other websites are in the game... do 3rd party promt only if you are fast on a keyboard..kinda crazy..2nd thought..just do the block 3rd party cookies...YOU WILL BE HAPPY !!

Sounds like the operating system all right. I need to contact my cardiologist and cannot hear with my DAMSUNG cell phone. Deafness. My last 800 number to eBay cost me 310 pesos for 13 minutes even using the 800 decoding system.

Ulaan Bator Mongolia has a better phone system than Asuncion.
