rancho grande store has phone service, good launching at papa fernandez into the bay, you can get weather updates at http://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboa...
camp either at rancho grande in one of their palapas or over at campo beluga, assuming thet're still standing! nothing heavy wind wise as of yet;)

I'm reading 29mph winds and rain out of Gonzaga right now. Forecasted to build to 50 with heavier rain.
This might not be a good week for vacation.

So, norte' has been spared the total pummeling of sur? I have friends supposed to be headed to Scorpion Bay via San Ignacio via Gonzaga....will there be gasolina for them to travel or does anyone have an idea how far north the restrictions will apply?

I don't think 4 times your annual rainfall in 1 day is being spared. I bet Alfonsinas is on an island. At least winds aren't too bad so storm surge should be minimal I hope.

Rainfall according to:

http://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboa...

...there's an accumulated 1.72" of rain as of a couple of minutes ago, if this is not correct please clarify, I'm still thinking of heading down there tomorrow morning, so any advise is greatly appreciated... we're planning to camp at an available camp site (Rancho Grande, Belunga, Papa Fernandez...?) any suggestions?
