This is NOT Highway 1. This is the road south of San Juanico on the Pacific Side. This is the closest arroyo to town and typically flows less than the
arroyos that are to the south (and unreachable at this point).

Just had a long call with Rick my plumber in Loreto. My wife is doing fine. Electricity is starting to come back. In his opinion this hurricane not as
bad as 2008 in that it did knock down as many electrical towers between Constitucion and Loreto. Information is very limited and he was more
interested about Polo forecast. Rumor there is Polo will be bigger than Odile.

Great video showing the storm surge in Loreto... hope the Malecon grass likes sea water (and your truck frame, too)!

Loreto
Tuesday morning on the malecón. Lots of tossed boulders, broken glass, lifted roofing, downed wires, debris. No injuries that I'm aware of. Cleanup is
underway.
All of the rocks and other debris were off this street and it was traffic normal by 9AM. Loretanos land on their feet.

It's not bad at all, power and internet back on, very little flooding. The damage seems to be mostly limited to downed trees and power poles. City
services is to be given high praise for quick action in getting things back to normal.

Muchisima gracias! Wakemall....
Looks like everybody just "hunkered down"... but my best buddy Julie who was at home in Loreto said "it sounded like a freight train" (the 100+ mile
an hour winds, that is!!) CHINGAO!!
Oops. Thank you very much Tehag. Do I know you?

Hola,, Myself am keeping my "traffic down to the min. here" but one has to think of ALL those power poles that are down....All over ARE Beloved Baja
!! those have to be trucked down from the EU and that will take a lot of time !! Looks like there was very ,very few deaths in this !!! that's a good
start !! IMO...K&T

I spoke with Wendy this morning at the storage facility by the airport; no damage and the facility is fine. The Loreto airport is open and
AereoCalafia is operating normal flights between TJ & Loreto next week. The Hotel Mision on the Malecon is set to re-open on Monday if not
sooner. Sounds like things are getting back to normal there which is great news.

In touch with Coco Cabanas (minor damage) and sounds like Loreto is back to normal.
