I've heard the bridge at Elias Calles on the new highway is out. I've heard nothing about the old highway though, though I'm betting it has its share of washouts and mudslides.

do yourself a favor and wait till everything until clean up is actually underway before going down there.
The last thing anyone needs is a bunch of extra foreigners down there to feed and shelter

news reports one lane open between la paz and cabo on the new highway. tourists are being evacuated from la paz international and from san jose by military aircraft. heavy property damage throughout the south cape region. electricity is out, mostly, as is phone service. fresh water is scarce, food supplies limited. two persons dead at santa roasalia. no information from loreto, mulege, san ignacio or vizacaino. no details on road conditions.

Road La Paz/CSL

I follow a blog by a resident of La Ventana (on the Cortez side 40 min south of La Paz). He gave a brief update on conditions today at noon (BCS time) for the first time in a few days:

"...LaPaz on the second day had about 5 gas stations open that had generators, third day about 20+. The grocery stores here and LaPaz were open the day after. The airports are closed as of yesterday because no power to control plans. Military was taking people to the mainland via their military 747s. Cannot drive to Cabo either way, though the road is open todos side one lane but police stop you because they may not have water electric till after the next storm but you can leave and go north from Cabo. Google cabo airport as it is a wreck. They will not allow anyone in it because all the glass is all over. There is no phone all baja sur including cell. We had it for one day after. LaPaz should have full electricity in a week..."

NOTE: this is info as it is known to him. La Ventana is a long way from anyplace, so I assume he knows this from speaking to others around La Ventana/El Sargento. As he states in the blog, cell/land phone service and internet are still down most places.

The boat is what it is or isn't. Be safe, don't rush down.
