This was posted yesterday in the thread on Bahia de los Angeles, by Marv Sherrill:

Another update: got to bola saturday afternoon - road out of town was a real mess - debris and washouts ,but they cleaned it all up yesterday! - great government response - paying townspeople to clean beaches and town etc - however there is no relief other than food and water for those that sustained a lot of damage - most are going at it alone and with friends - we are stuck at our houses with massive erosion damage - 3-4 foot drops from garage to driveway. We did meet up with Luke Jobbins and young muscle has been a godsend. We surveyed the damage on quads from the military to dagetts - every one had damage - Glendale college had their pull through garage inudated lost a truck and other stuff - but toppled trailers, mobile homes, collasped buildings, water tanks common. Beaches are filled with debris like in the picture above - I will post pictures when possible. It is very hot so work is slow for us old guys.

If church groups, off roaders or any body that can come down, clothes are needed and simply muscle to help individual households. On the surface, most look ok, but all were hit hard. The electricity is up, water stations have frest water, but we had no problem giving away a truck load of drinking water. We also brought big bags of dog food that was a help.

It is tragic, but the towns people are resilient. It will take a while to achieve normalicy - leaving thursday, but will be back asap.

I just received word that the road from highway 1 to town is still tore up but passable. Big rigs are making it through. Also the road heading south of town has been graded and is in great shape.

Bob, any word on how Pancho (Bahia San Rafael) or Punta San Francisquito Resort survived the hurricane?

Pancho

I also am concerned about Pancho at Bahia San Rapael! That is one of the stops I had planned on making before the storms hit, and will keep the plan alive. I already have a few things I was going to bring him, but since my space is limited, if anyone knows of specific needs he might have I will re figure my load.
I am still a week north of BOLA, and any info about the roads south of the bay, or about about Pancho would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, GL

Regarding Pancho:

This was posted on Baja Strong's facebook page,

"Great news from the Baja Strong Off Road convoy of Chase Trucks and Raptors led by Cameron Steele. They have made it to El Barril located on the Sea of Cortez 125 miles south of LA Bay and south of Punta San Fransiquitos. The Baja Strong crew is currently unloading humanitarian supplies to the town people and they will be heading back for LA Bay tonight. The road south from LA Bay was difficult and several trucks got stuck in the mud, but they were able to extract them and make it through to El Barril.

They had stopped at Punta San Rafael where they picked up Pancho there after resupplying him and his fish camp with relief supplies. Pancho insisted to travel along with them to El Barril leading as the primary guide in this area of the Baja backcountry.

Other crew members were routed to San Borja and they discovered the mission family in good supply of water and food after the storm as supplied by towns just off Highway 1.

Bahia de Los Angeles received the Baja Strong crew well as they arrived with 20 trucks of supplies along with the 2 box trucks.

Nice work to Cameron Steele, Bobby Pecoy, Sunny Garcia, Ryan Thomas and the rest of the crew for pushing through against difficult circumstances and making it out to El Barril"

Great news, thanks Paulina! Maybe add this to the Baja Strong thread in the Off Roading forum?
