She is Mexican
There is no point to making it more difficult to drive back down to BCS by going threw the USA border hassles... |
There are no direct flights from Mexico City to Ensenada. There is one airline that flies a small turbo prop into Ensenada 3 days a week from Guerrero
negro. There is no direct service GN to Mexico City. Your girl friend is looking at minimum 3 flights legs to fly into Ensenada.
She will spend an extra half day or more getting a puddle jumper flight into Ensenada. It will take you very little extra time to pick her up in TJ.
You are going to make your girlfriend have a long travel day because you can't drive your RV on an urban street?? Park in San Diego and pick her up
by taxi at TJ. It's like one mile from the border xing to the airport.
If you are really uncomfortable, you can hire a car service to pick up your GF at TJ and take her to tecate or whatever rural road you are
comfortable piloting your boat.

I have been at the Mexicali airport when commercial flights from Mexico city have arrived... way better than dealing with TJ

The Tijuana airport is next to the Otay Border crossing, and well signed after you cross south at Otay. Cerritosguy, we want to help, but there are no
flights into Ensenada from the mainland, other than the wild mouse ride that mtgoat666 described.

There is a dozen(s) RV parks in on the US side in El Centro. I remember staying in Desert Trails RV park, $27 with no hookups, more with hookups.
Clean washrooms, WiFi in clubhouse only.
Yes, overnight stay in Walmart lot is an option on the US side, but I would not want to camp on the street (including unsecure WM lot) anywhere in
Mexico. Would rather drive 100 miles into desert, off road, where nobody would see me, and camped there.
