That has always been the problem with lack of competition. If you are going to get paid the same whether you bust your butt or not, it is usually easier to not.

There is such variation. The Baja Cactus station in El Rosario has always given great service.

Over the years I've had some big variability in the pump accuracy at the in town station here in Mulege. Ahem.

For one reason or another they have been out of gas now for days.

Yea, this "Overhaul" is having a great result. Come January those of us in Baja will have the privilege of paying four bucks a gallon or more.

Someone needs to explain the Law of Supply and Demand to the Chief Executives of PEMEX.

Thank you Ex-Presidente Card##as, you have done a great service to the people.

Competition mandates best service and best product... Mexican drivers are demanding something better for the ridiculous prices they are paying for their own gasoline. Baja Cactus is a model station thanks to Antonio, but Pemex franchise owners are shackled by stupid government rules.

Yeah, I notice some of the Pemex stations in Loreto have been painted a new color. Guess that's their idea of "overhaul". And the prices just keep going up. Remindes me of the definition of a Mexican engine overhaul...... Clean it and paint it.

Living Large in Loreto. Off-grid and happy.

Wonder if the overhaul will include tamper proof pumps to eliminate fraud in dispensing???

Pacifico needs to take lessons from PEMEX on filling beer bottles.....how to get one liter into a 355 ml bottle
