| FMM tourist card at TJ airport

 Hello,

I'm from Germany and we travel to San Diego in March.

We take the Volaris bus to TJ Airport. Can I get a tourist card (FMM) there? How does this work? Then we take a rental car and drive to the south.

Yes!!! You can get a FMM at the airport. Just make sure you get one for the length of your stay, up to 180 days. Then enjoy Baja!!!

Thanks for your reply. Is it easy to find the FMM Office in the Airport and how it works with the payment?

It is a booth in the middle of the airport, near the front entrance. If you can't find it ask some one where it is. You will pay at the booth also,
306 Peso's was what my wife paid last time (about $25 USD). As are most things here, learning to figure it out as you go is part of the experience.

You can also get the FMM at the border. Ask some one that is on the buss and get a consensus as to what might be better. I have always gotten mine at
the border, but my wife got hers at the airport and she said it was fast and easy!

 Hi
The office that issues the FMM is a large kiosk in the middle of the airport before you get to the check in counters. Very easy to find. You pay at
the same window. I always pay in Pesos so I do not know if they take credit cards or Dollars. Have a great trip.

If you are travelling by bus, definitely get your FMM at the airport. I don't imagine a bus full of people are willing to wait while you go through
the process. As you walk into the airport just look for the INM kiosk. It is very easy to spot and when I went through 2 weeks ago I was able to pay
right there without going to another counter.

When you walk into the Tijuana airport turn to your left and walk almost all the way like if your going to board a plane and the INM kiosk its The
last one. And if you already have your ticket after getting the visa keep walking the same way to get your boarding pass or check in.

Just a reminder...They only take pesos at the FMM booth and they usually don't have change.

Sorry to nitpick, but when you walk thru the doors into the airport lobby, the INM desk is to the right. If you need to get pesos for your FMM first,
there are ATMS at the far left end of the lobby.

It did not work, because we had to apply for the Tourist Card already at the Tijuana border. All people had to get off the bus, fill out the
immigration form, pay at the bank, then back to the office and then with the luggage to the X-ray. The bus was waiting behind it. They did not allow
us to drive without tourist card to the Airport by bus

How was getting the tourist card at the border not as good as getting it at the airport... either way, you got it, yes? Just wondering... Hope your
trip to Baja was nice.

We did not care getting the FMM at the border or at the Airport.

But sorry about the other people on the bus, because they had to wait until we went through the process.

Our 2nd Baja trip was wonderful, too
. Special thanks to Shari! We did a
marvelous and very close to whale watching experience.
