Wait a min. There are no red benches on the malecon.

Every beautiful beach in the world needs a few condo towers - NOT.

weebray

There is more to La Paz than the Malecon.

The red bench is located approximately here:

Not sure of the exact location as I was just randomly following streets on a walkabout one morning.

Find the bench and you'll find the best empanadas in the morning...

FYI I am just guessing this is the bench I stop at everyday when I'm in La Paz-I could be wrong.

Head to Cuauhtemoc at the water which is right at the public fishing beach in front of the marines. The cross street is Rangel.

The cafe shop at the bench opens about 7:30am-ish with empanadas, cafe, tamales, quesadillas.

At the beach there are two stands that sell fresh fish and ceviche starting about 8:30am. On Rangel between Cuauhtemoc and Sonora is Gaviota's (Veronica) taqueria, she is open a few days a week at 9:30am for brunch lunch with tacos of fish or shrimp.

Healthy, fresh inexpensive local food.
