More bad news for La Paz
Even the Malecon is not safe any more. They need to get this under control.

One killed (executed according to article) and 2 others injured and sent to hospital on the Malecon. 9mm casings found at the scene.

There's a good lesson here. If you're a 20 something drug dealer in La Paz, driving a pimped out ride, you may want to avoid driving around known
party hang outs at 4:30 AM. The rest of you just stay in bed and you'll be fine.

Interesting comment. where did you get that the dead person was 20 something and had a pimped out ride? The woman injured was 35 years old. no
doubt it was drug related. Isn't early in the morning when most people start there walks on the Malecon?

It needs to be put in perspective. For instance, Akron Ohio has about 50,000 fewer residents and had more crime in the same period.
I feel absolutely safe when walking the streets of La Paz.

Yes, La Paz is changing...as is the rest of the planet, but even so, we (a retired couple) feel safe here in La Paz. Walk the Malecon any morning or
evening and you are there with moms, dads kids, grandmas, grandpas and lovers. I share the attitude of "Weebray" and "Bajahowodd".

Another shooting at 4 this afternoon.
How many this year.....we are only into the 4th month.
Bajahowodd....I don't go to Akron anymore. I do go to La Paz occasionally. Therefore the crime there concerns me more than Ohio crime.

I am afraid this is not random...but a concerted fight for control of drug trafficking that is spilling over to the general public.

In Mexico, the arrests of cartel leaders have created voids that need to be filled. There are many internal power struggles for control and turf.
Unfortunately the tendrils of the kraken have reached across the SOC to La Paz, which has been a neutral playground for the 'bosses'... until now.
The hits are going to be a fact of life, and the 'new breed' of gangstas don't give a rat's a$$ about stray bullets or civilian collateral damage; it
only serves to show how much more bada$$ they are.
Millions of people live in New York. Millions in Chicago. Millions walk the streets every day, love their cities, and choose to stay. Those in La
Paz are faced with a simple choice; stay, enjoy, and hope..... or move. Life itself is a risk. Ya spends yer money (on a buffet) and ya takes yer
chances.
I don't have a BUCKET LIST, but I do have a F***- IT LIST a mile long!

My daughter in laws sister was visiting us from Sweden and she knows I drive to Mulege once or twice a year. She questioned the safety especially in
TJ.
I told her that as long as you don't get involved in drugs or prostitution, you're safe, and that I'm too cheap to do either.
I'm sure the same is true in La Paz.

You may have a point here. Until recently, a few of the drug lords lived (hid out) in BCS. The deal was that they would not tolerate any violence near
where they were living.
They are gone now, as far as I know.
