Lets say another shooting happens on the malecon, or maybe at the shopping center....You have no drugs.....our absolutely safe....keep on walking.

On edit: Look guys, I don't think these idiots care who gets caught in the line of fire. I would be careful. It is spilling into areas that we all
inhabit. Another yesterday evening at Colosio Boulevard and Toronja street near a gas station that is located on the corner.

Wow, La Paz has always been my destination via moto for Carnaval for the past 5 years. I'm mending from some surgery this year and really missed the
festivities and the event. I've always promoted this moto trip as the best way for me and some fellow riders to travel the peninsula and spend a few
days getting settled and ready to head back north again. I've never been a resort person and the fact that La Paz is a working class town with a port,
refinery, malecon and nearby beaches has been much more attractive than some 'built to order' resort. There are always unintended consequences and we
might be seeing a shift in the drug cartel trade. With the legalization and acceptance in the US for marijuana, it appears that opium products and
heroin are becoming the focus of their operations. That has historically produced much more violence in association with it.

I have been to some rough sections of the planet and there are plenty of instances when just being in the wrong place at the wrong time is all it
takes for a bad outcome. I hope the violence can be restrained by whatever forces are needed to keep the general population from being involved.

If the first shots don't get you duck, dodge, dive, roll, and run for cover.

About the same as being hit by lightning twice?

Early morning Malecon walks are still peaceful and fun and evidenced by the crowd still showing up.
